It has been a long since I wrote article due to internship. Recently, I completed my research internship with Zujo, a startup focused on video streaming and live conferencing. I was working on core design for VoD (Video on Demand), it’s authentication and usage statistics. Both module, authentication and usage tracker (for RTMP and HLS) were written in NodeJs. So far, I had a great experience at Zujo. Kudos to Arjun Kawa, Vishal Virani and Vaibhav Surana.
Now, in the context to my previous experiences, as a robotics guy; C/C++, C# and NodeJs are my primary language while have a limited experience with HTML and CSS for Debian based Kiosk. Thus, I decided to explore deep into HTML and CSS. And it took me almost two months to get my hands on HTML and CSS. Although, I have developed theme, I am still improving my HTML and CSS knowledge.
Now, let’s explore what I have done for my theme assignment. Here’s rtCamp’s official assignment theme “D’SIGNfly”:

And, here’s output of my work:

I am still building my theme and hope to complete it soon.
Verdict
I am amazed how theme makes WordPress more flexible than I have ever thought of. I am still on my learning curve and improving my WordPress knowledge day by day.
Recently, I just setup VVV (with XDebug support) on my macOS. It is quite easy to jump start debugging with Visual Studio Code. It is really important to know debugging as I get to know some of WordPress core functionalities and how they work by step-by-step debug process. I will soon write an article on how to debug WordPress, too.
Till then,
Happy Coding!
